Special Events: Egg Week! Day Two

It's Day 2 of Egg Week! Today we did some "eggs"periments :) We wanted to see what would happen if we dropped eggs onto different surfaces. First we dropped an egg on the pavement! Some of our friends thought it would break, some even thought it would explode!

When we dropped it, the egg completely broke and the yolk broke apart too! Vienna even noticed that the egg made the pavement change colour. Next it was onto grass! Ethan didn't think the egg would break on the grass, and neither did Alessandra! They were right, nothing happened!

Lastly we dropped the egg in water! 

"I think it's going to float!" - Olivia

"I think it's going to crack and the yolk will go everywhere in the water!" - Marko

"I think it will crack and the yolk will come out, float, but the shell will sink!" - Lily

Look what happened when we dropped the egg in water!

It cracked! We came to the conclusion that it broke on the bottom of the container because there wasn't a lot of water in it! Eggcellent!
