General Happenings: Shining on the Carpet and Classroom Rules

What a great first 2 weeks we have had! We are so proud of all of our students and how quickly they are adapting to our daily routines and rules. We have learned so much already! One of the first things we learned was how to 'Shine on the Carpet'. It is important to 'Shine on the Carpet' so that everyone can learn and participate in large group activities.

Our Classroom Rules

We have also talked a lot about our 'Classroom Rules'. It is important to follow our classroom rules to ensure everyone has a clean and safe learning environment.

1. Being a good friend
We learned to share our toys and play together with our friends.

2. Listening Ears
We can follow the rules at each learning centre and make good choices by doing what our teachers say.

3. Hands to ourselves
We do not hit, push or touch our friends. We have to ask before giving hugs and we do not kiss at school.

4. Using Our Manners
We know that it is polite to say please, thank you and excuse me. We also say kind words and do nice things for each other.

5. Clean Up
We clean up after ourselves and make sure to keep our classroom nice and tidy. We always clean up before we play somewhere else.

Way to go Room 110!!! You guys are doing great work. Keep it up:)
