As most of you know, we are having our heritage day this Friday. All surveys were due today, (Monday, April 13th) but please continue to send them in throughout the week. We're still waiting on 16. Miss Smith and I are excited to learn about the backgrounds of our students :) We are using this information to help us prep for Friday.
Please make sure your child knows the following before Friday:
1. They know which country they are representing
2. They can share an artifact/flag/etc. with the class or share something they know about their country
We will be having a sharing circle in the middle of the day so all students can share about their heritage :) We will use the surveys to help students out if they forget!
Please consider bringing in a small sampling of food from your country. Bite size pieces for 30 students would be perfect. I would love to see and taste different kinds of foods from around the world! Please remember to keep them nut and meat free :) Miss Smith and I will be bringing something in from our home countries, too!
Don't forget to dress in your country's colours, or wear anything specific to their native attire. I look forward to this very special day!! :)
