Special Events: Bullying Awareness Day

Today was bullying awareness day all throughout the nation, and we wore pink to show our support! We had a good turnout of students wearing pink shirts :) Some students had pink on their shirts, or red... sorry I didn't include them!

This week, our read-alouds are all around the topic of bullying. Today, we read one of my favourite books, "The Boy with Pink Hair" by Perez Hilton. It's about a little boy who was born with pink hair and loved to bake, and was made fun of because of it. But in the end, his talents helped to make a difference in the community :) Make sure to have a discussion at home with your child about what bullying is and why it isn't okay!
