Announcement: Welcome!!

Hi everyone!

We are so excited for a new school year :) We wanted to thank everyone for bringing in such amazing supplies for our class! We go through kleenex like crazy, so I think we have enough for the whole year :) The lysol wipes will keep our toys clean and germ free, and the magic erasers help keep the tables, chairs, and floors scuff-free, and the ziploc bags are always handy to pack things in.  The kids will be so excited to use all of the fun craft supplies once we open the creative centre. Thanks again for your help in supporting our program- we do receive a small budget for our class, but it gets eaten up pretty quickly buying journals, duotangs, colour photo printing, and toys to support our learning!

We've been slowly learning the rules and routines of the classroom. There are SO many things to learn, it takes a couple of months to get completely settled in (i.e., we're still learning what colour our important bag is and to close the door when we go to the bathroom) 😜

I wanted to clarify something on the JK registration forms. These are new to the board this year, and I noticed on the bottom it had a question along the lines of "Are you going to an early intake meeting for your child?". An early intake meeting is something that is set up by your family doctor PRIOR to your child entering kindergarten. This is for students with additional/unique needs so that the school is made aware and supports can be put into place. I'm not sure why they put this on the form, but it's not something any of you would have gone to, so don't stress!

We are still waiting on forms for media consent. Once we receive them, we will start posting photos.
