Announcements: Holiday Concert!

Parents/Guardians,

I've had a few parents ask me about the holiday concert. It takes place Thursday December 17th at 2:00 pm. You can find more information about the concert in our monthly newsletter: http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/gatestone/files/2015/11/December-2015-Gatestone-Newsletter.pdf

A note will be going home next week informing you of what your child should wear for our concert. We are excited to perform for you!

General Happenings: Weekly Challenges!

Here is our fun math challenge for the week! During math, we've been working a lot on patterning. Patterning is a very important skill for children this age to have; it's the foundation for more difficult math concepts. We've been working on creating our own patterns and extending patterns that are already made. How well can your child pattern? Can they recognize the part that's repeating itself over and over again? Can they make more complicated patterns?

Here's our weekly finger gym challenge. Scissor skills are super important!! Pictures to come soon :)

Announcements: Holiday Hamper

This year, each class is preparing a hamper full of goodies for a family in need this holiday season. You may have seen the poster we have up outside our classroom! We have a few more details of the specific family we are supporting.

Child #1: 6 years old, interested in super heroes, Paw Patrol, and Pokémon cards

Child #2: 2 years old: any age appropriate toys

Child #3: 8 months old: any age appropriate toys
