Our Current Inquiry: Measuring Distance!
On Wednesday, we did an activity to learn how far away the planets were from the sun! We used toilet paper to measure :) We explained that this was a "scaled down" version, and that the planets are actually much further away from the sun! We knew that Mercury was the hottest planet because it was the closest (2 sheets), and Neptune was the coldest planet, an astounding 75 sheets away from the sun! We were able to incorporate so much math and science into one activity!

Our Current Inquiry: Moon Walking!
On Wednesday we learned about the moon! We learned that the moon is made of rock, it orbits the Earth, and that there is gravity on the moon, just not as much as on Earth! We decided to do the moon walk in our classroom! Check out the videos below of the students who wanted to take the challenge! :)
