Announcements: Exciting News!

Today we had a huge announcement for the whole school: We received the Heritage Green Community Grant for over $35,000! I still can't get over this. We've applied to this grant before, so we are so, so appreciative and honoured. Mr. Castellani has been working hard and has gotten us a new scoreboard, chairs for the gym (so we don't have to take them from all the classes for performances!), a new sound system for the stage, and new curtains to come soon! 

This is my 7th year teaching at Gatestone and I just have to reiterate what a wonderful school it is and how grateful I am to work here. Go gryphons, go!

Announcements: December Calendar

Here is our calendar for December! It's a busy one!

Notes:

• Holiday Countdown: You don't need to do anything special for these days, other than what it says in brackets (i.e., wear white and blue)
• More information regarding candy grams will be sent home as soon as I receive more details
• This year for our holiday concert, we are having a parent-only performance on Thursday, December 22nd at 11:20. You can come for 11:00 to find seating. Please do not come to the classroom beforehand! Please keep people attending to a maximum of 2, as the whole school could possibly bring 2 people, and we have 650 students! Thank you! Due to the fact that we are performing with the other 3 kindergarten classes, we can't videotape it and post it on the blog due to photo and video consent. However, we will videotape a class-only performance in our classroom and post it for those of you who can't attend :) As always, if you are videotaping it, please don't post it on social media.

Special Events: Pattern Day!

Today was pattern day! So many of our friends wore patterns to school! We've been learning a lot about patterns and that they repeat themselves over and over again. We even made fruit loop necklaces with patterns!! Here are some pictures from our special day :)
