Last week and this week we are learning about "2 Walking Vowels" - when 2 vowels go walking, the first one does the talking, and says it own name! This works for the following combinations:
A
ai like in "sail"
E
ee like in "tree"
ea like in "sea"
I
ie like in "pie" (rare)
O
oa like in "boat"
U
ue like in cue (rare)
It of course doesn't work for some like oo, ou, which make different sounds, and you'll never see aa, ii, etc. Watch the following video for a better explanation! :) (skip to 8:00 min.)
